Overview
This multidisciplinary event will bring together urologists, sexual medicine specialists, gynecologists, advanced primary care physicians, fellows and residents for an evidence-based discussion on testosterone therapy across patient populations. With nationally recognized faculty and interactive case-based learning, the program is designed to advance clinical knowledge, encourage thoughtful dialogue, and promote best practices in patient care.

Date & Location
Saturday, September 19, 2026, 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Tinkham Veale University Center, Cleveland, OH

Target Audience
Specialties - Fellows, Internal Medicine, Nurse Practitioners, Ob/Gyn, Oncology, Urology

Objectives
After attending this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify and evaluate conditions where testosterone treatment is beneficial in women, men, and cancer survivors using evidence-based diagnostic criteria, appropriate laboratory testing, and validated symptom assessment tools.
  2. Apply current clinical guidelines from leading professional societies (Endocrine Society, ISSWSH, AUA, and ASCO) to initiate, titrate, and monitor testosterone therapy safely across diverse patient populations, including those with complex medical histories.
  3. Counsel patients on the evidence base, benefits, and risks of testosterone therapy — including addressing common clinical myths (e.g., testosterone and breast cancer risk) — to facilitate shared decision-making and improve patient adherence and satisfaction.
  4. Develop individualized, safe management plans for testosterone therapy in cancer survivors, incorporating oncologic history, treatment-related hypogonadism, and appropriate multidisciplinary collaboration with oncology.
  5. Implement a practical follow-up and monitoring framework for patients on testosterone therapy in the primary care setting, including laboratory surveillance intervals, recognition of adverse effects, and criteria for referral to subspecialty care.
