Objectives
After attending this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Discuss basic and advanced endocrine biochemistry, physiology and pathophysiology, which provide the basis for understanding endocrine diseases.
  2. Review basic physiology regulating hormone secretion and recognize the modulating impact of co-existing illnesses.
  3. Demonstrate acquired knowledge and expertise in all the six competencies required by the ACGME.
  4. Demonstrate and maintain the highest degree of professionalism in interacting with patients, colleagues, and all other members of the health community.
  5. Discuss and review a critical mass of fundamental information and practical approaches for the diagnosis, management and prevention of endocrine disorders.
  6. Identify and apply the principles of quality and safety.
