1. Describe the best treatment practices for patients presenting with medical and psychiatric conditions, for example, but not limited to: metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular disease/hypertension/high cholesterol, diabetes, pain management, infectious diseases, new or improved health screening tools and models of care and treatment regimens for major categories of SMI including suicide risk as well as addressing treatment resistance with psychopharmacology updates and special populations/special needs.
2. Apply an advanced knowledge and understanding of forensic-related issues and their complexities in order to achieve optimal outcomes and reduce the length/impact of long-term hospitalization, while at the same time assisting the courts in addressing legal determinations that can balance the rights of the patient and public safety concerns.

Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
