Objectives
After attending this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Verbalize the indications for a decompressive hemicraniectomy procedure.
  2. Discuss the postoperative care of the patient post decompressive hemicraniectomy.
  3. Recognize acute presentation of all stroke syndromes.
  4. Describe current and expanding eligibility of stroke patients for mechanical thrombectomy.
  5. Summarize the AHA 2022 Guidelines for Management of Patients with Spontaneous Intracerebral Hemorrhage.
  6. Define the antihypertensive medication options for Intracerebral Hemorrhage patients.
  7. Discuss how a healthy diet can prevent, manage, and treat illness.
  8. Explain how the diabetes is diagnosed and how treatment options are determined.
  9. Verbalize diabetes monitoring and chronic medication management.
  10. List the safety components for a system wide transition to Tenecteplase.
  11. Describe goals and criteria for current stroke rehabilitation research
  12. List components of home safety assessment and home exercise program for stroke recovery.
  13. Explore interventions to best support and educate patient and family members in the early phase after stroke.
