Overview

The Colloquium brings together the most recognized experts in the field of epilepsy. The 2023 Colloquium will focus on the semiology of epileptic seizures and its value in epilepsy surgery. Numerous case discussions strive to make the sessions interactive to facilitate active audience participation in the interchange of ideas. The Colloquium is designed for epileptologists, neurosurgeons, and neurologists. Nurses, neuropsychologists, EEG technologists and other health care professionals are also welcome to attend.

Registration to open March 2023

Date & Location
Monday, September 18, 2023, 7:00 AM - Friday, September 22, 2023, 6:30 PM, Tinkham Veale University Center, Cleveland, OH

Target Audience
Specialties - Neurology, Neurosurgery

Objectives
After attending this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Recognize how seizure semiology can be deftly used to localize seizure onset
  2. Identify ictal propagation pathways through analysis of the sequence of development of different semiologic features
  3. Define the traps and pitfalls in applying seizure semiology for localization of the epileptogenic zone
