UH Primary Care Institute 2026 Wellness Symposium

This annual symposium provides an update on topics relevant to primary health providers.

Saturday, February 28, 2026, 7:00 AM - 12:15 PM, Corporate College East, Cleveland, OH

1. Recognize the more common neurodegenerative disorders and identify the diagnostic evaluative criteria
2. Discuss the current treatment management for Neurodegenerative disorders
3. List the upcoming initiatives expected in the Epic software that will be available at UH.
4. Identify the industry trends that Epic responds to when developing new software.
5. Explain the mechanisms, benefits, and safety profiles of GLP-1 receptor agonists to make confident, evidence-based prescribing decisions
6. Summarize individual medication and the labeled indications by highlighting what we need to address for insurance coverage and alternative ways to get the medications without coverage (cash prices, manufacturer programs, etc)
7. Review key recommendations from major COPD clinical practice guidelines
8. Translate guideline-based recommendations into practical workflows
9. Present ongoing COPD quality improvement initiatives at our institution
